Shakema Cyrus is Brooklyn raised womenswear designer who embraces her family's native island St. Vincent and the Grenadines. She has a passion for travel, women empowerment, the Arts, bold colors, and timeless prints. She discovered her love for designing during her middle school years while attending an Arts school, and continued to develop her skills and love for fashion over the years. Through her relationships with various designers, her access to the fashion industry, and knowledge of the Vincentian women in her family she realized that she wanted to create a brand that allow women to make a statement no matter their walk of life.

Shakema holds on to the memories and values instilled in her by her grandmother, Anabell and continues to hold her Caribbean heritage to the highest regard. She credits the strong lineage of women in her family that allow her to demonstrate her knowledge, determination, and creativity. Shakema is also passionate about education and young women and enjoys providing a platform for all women to create, collaborate, and celebrate each other's successes'.
